In 2017, the Salon du Végétal has moved for the first time to Nantes in June 2017 (the 3rd week), to the « Parc des Expositions de la Beaujoire » for more business, with a wider range, to meet all the visitors needs.

THE place to meet suppliers and buyers

PhotoSalonduVegetal2017_26The Salon du Végétal has a key role in bringing suppliers and buyers together from all the sectors of the industry: Production, Landscaping, Retail and Floristry. How do we keep this promise? By offering a wide range of plants and associated products all in a convivial landscape. By holding the trade show in the 3rd week of June we really offer a bonus because it’s an especially good period to prepare for the upcoming seasons (reference listings, order taking...).

What else could be better? Over to you to grab the opportunity offered in one unique event.

More Plants. More Products. More visitors.

PhotoSalonduVegetal2017_27The Salon du Végétal is spread over 4 centres: Production, Landscaping, Retail and Floristry. Thus it covers the whole garden market, green spaces, homes, producers, which let us attract the largest number of visitors. This year, the trade show grows even bigger by diversifying the ranges in both plants and associated products/services in each of the 4 sectors.

An increasingly international event

The fair has a real impact outside France: in 2017, foreign visitors came from 34 different countries and 25% of the exhibitors came from abroad (Germany, Belgium, Colombia, Denmark, Spain, Greece, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, the United Kingdom, Sweden, Switzerland). Holding the fair in Nantes enhances its international dimension. Nantes, with its estuary and port, has a long history of trading and is now a metropolis open to the world, thanks in particular to an airport serving 75 destinations.

Initiatives to increase the fair’s international reach
In 2018, the Salon du Végétal decided to join Promosalons, a network dedicated to promoting French professional trade fairs on the international stage. Our application was accepted on the strength of our international commitment, particularly through our visiting public and foreign exhibitors. The support of this 80-country network will enable us to develop our international initiatives, focusing primarily on Germany.
A delegation of foreign journalists will attend the Salon du Végétal (from Poland, Germany, Russia, the United Kingdom, Indonesia, etc.). They will spend two days visiting the fair and will end their stay with a visit to the Chateau de la Ballue (Rennes) and the chateau at Chaumont-sur-Loire. In the interests of promoting dialogue with Asia and enabling French firms to open up to the international world, a partnership has been established with the Horti China trade fair (in Shanghai), organised by VNU in November 2018, which promotes horticulture in Asian countries. France will be represented at Horti China and a Chinese delegation will attend the Salon du Végétal.
