The Salon du Végétal at the Parc des Expositions in Angers sets up as the great professional show in France for the horticultural chain.
An annual meeting for vegetal and horticulture from which its 600 exhibitors and over 16,000 professional visitors would not get away.

Presentation
The Bouquets d’aujourd’hui® stand is one of the places in France where florists draw their inspiration.

Aims

  • Promote the French cut flowers.
  • Offer a profusion of bouquets and floral compositions grouped into 3 categories: simple, commercial and elaborate bouquets.
  • Show the florists’ Know-How by the mean of a competition.

2010 Theme

Pink and purple variations. Trends makers forecast that 2010 will be a pink and purple year.
 

Unfolding
  • 
Tuesday and Thursday: the florist designer Jean-Louis Anxoine and his team are responsible for creating the bouquets. Demonstrations will take place at regular intervals on the Bouquets d’aujourd’hui® stand to show visitors how to make original bouquets.
  • The partners of the Tendances Fleurs Coupées® event will present their ideas about trends for spring and summer 2010 in floral decoration and bouquets.
  • The magazine “Information Fleuristes” will organise one conference per day : “What to do or avoid in a flowers shop”.
  • Wednesday: bouquets’ competition.
  The competition
  • The competition will unfold the Wednesday 17 February from 9.00 am.
 
  • Florists experienced or in training can take part in the competition.
 
  • Competitors must complete a bouquet and a composition in a given time (1 hour).
 
  • Equipment will supply by the organising committee.

Awards
  • A jury made up of professionals from the floristry trade will judge the creations. Marks are awarded for originality, technique, overall balance, attractiveness and impact.
  • A special prize will be given by the magazine “Fleuristerie” to a competitor who the bouquet or the composition catch the jury’s attention.
